On Target’s carpet cleaning removes more than 90% of common household allergens. Our carpet cleaning solution is an EPA Safer Choice product, which means it is safe for you, your pets, and the environment.
We use a proprietary hot water extraction cleaning method with our state-of-the-art truck-mounted cleaning system. This cleaning method allows us to safely remove dirt, spots, and odors without leaving behind soapy residue.
Your carpets are dry fast due to our system that removes almost all the water we use in our cleaning process. Our technicians will also use floor fans to speed the drying process while cleaning other rooms in the house.
Deep stains in carpet or upholstery can ruin the look of a room. It’s tempting to think that it takes harsh detergents or strong chemicals to get stains out. However, the truth is detergents always leave behind a soapy residue—and soapy residue actually attracts dirt and oil towards the fibers of your carpet or furniture. Furthermore, some chemicals can damage fine fabrics.
The On Target Process
- Our IICRC certified technicians will inspect all rooms being cleaned and identity all the problem areas with you.
- We will then pre-spray all the carpet and spot-treat individual stains with our EPA Safer Choice products.
- We will use our state-of-the-art truck-mounted cleaning system to steam clean deep into the carpet fibers, removing unwanted allergens and dirt and extracting them out of your home into our van for safe disposal.
- The powerful suction of our cleaning wand will remove the majority of the water from the carpet, ensuring fast dry times.
- A high velocity air mover will be placed in each room to ensure the carpets dry as fast as possible.
- Our optional (and free) deodorizer will be applied to all rooms cleaned to ensure a fresh clean smell
- An optional Scotchgard treatment can be added to each carpeted area after cleaning to ensure those pesky stains don’t come back and to make your carpet last up to three times longer.

Do you move furniture before you clean the carpets?
Furniture moving can be done by the technician for an extra charge, but we recommend moving any furniture you can before your scheduled cleaning.
How long will it take to clean the carpets?
It will take (on average) approximately 20-25 minutes to clean the room depending on how many stains and how big the room is.
How long will it take my carpets to dry?
Dry time depends on several conditions in the home and outside, but on average the carpets are dry in 5-8 hours. (Optional low moisture cleaning is available that would decrease dry time to 1 hour or less.)
